Job Description
Neptune Lines is a leading finished vehicle logistics provider, offering transportation and shipping solutions to manufacturers and shippers of cars and high & heavy cargoes. The company operates regular liner services in more than 40 ports in 27 countries across Europe, Mediterranean, Black Sea, North America and Far East. Its extensive range of 22 PCTC vessels enables optimal flexibility and can cater for a wide range of cargo, while achieving economies of scale across our network. Neptune’s growing network counts 3,000 port calls covering 1.3 million miles on an annual basis.
We are looking for a skilled HSQE Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will manage HSQE functions across a designated group of vessels, ensuring compliance with international regulations, industry standards, and company policies. The role is primarily based in the office, with regular visits to vessels to ensure compliance with HSQE standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, technical departments, and external auditors, both ashore and onboard to drive continuous improvement in health, safety, quality, and environmental performance.
Reporting directly to the DPA & HSQE Senior Manager key responsibilities include:
- Assume full responsibility for the HSQE activities of your assigned vessels, ensuring seamless operations and adherence to safety, security, and environmental standards.
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and perform riding internal audits.
- Monitor the implementation of Health, Safety, Quality, Environment, and Security established processes, ensuring full compliance with Industry and Company’s standards.
- Supports the investigation and reporting of incidents, accidents, near-misses, and injuries.
- Overview and maintain established ERP system and BI tool through the development and observation of defined KPIs.
- Participate in process development projects.
- Participate in annual ESG report development.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor\’s degree in Maritime Studies, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in HSQE roles within the maritime sector, liner or dry bulk ship management, with a proven track record of managing audits, vessel compliance, and incident follow-up.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Business Central ERP System and Power BI tool will be an asset.
- An internal auditor qualification certificate.
- Knowledge of ESG reporting standards (GRI, CDP, SDG, etc.) and ESG rating assessors processes (Ecovadis, CDP, NQC) will be an asset.
